"Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know Him! Then He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring!"

Trunk or Treat
event pic On Saturday, Oct. 25th, church members gathered together for the fourth annual "Trunk or Treat" held this year at the McMullen clubhouse. Games such as a bean bag toss, potato sack race, fishing booth, and pumpkin bowling were loads of fun for both those trying to win a prize and those sitting around watching. Even though a great dinner was served, all the kids could not wait to line up and go from each decorated trunk to trunk. We look forward to a repeat next year of the same loads of fun and fellowship.

Vacation Bible School 2008
event pic Vacation Bible School was a HUGE success! We had a good number of children each night who were really excited to be learning about God on their tour of the Holy Land. Everyone had booked their trip with their travel agencies, and the tour guides were amazing at getting them to their areas of interest each night! Not enough can be said about all those who came each night to make VBS such a wonderful experience. There was a good representation from the youth group helping in all areas from getting snacks ready and serving, helping with games, managing the booths in the Market Place, puppets and other activities, and even dressing up and participating in the presentation of the Bible stories. The college age group also helped with snacks and then destroyed the walls of Jericho! There were many adults who cut, glued, sewed, punched holes, constructed, decorated, painted, donated soup cans, even before VBS started. Thanks to everyone who had any part of VBS! And thanks to Christy Prine for these wonderful pictures!
