SERVING THE WORLD
CENTRAL AVENUE CHURCH OF CHRIST
COME JOIN OUR CHRISTIAN FAMILY
Since 1888, families committed to following Christ have met near the corner of Central Avenue and Lee Street in Valdosta. Today, just as over a century ago, Christians who gather here are committed to learning more about God's plan of salvation and how better to spread His message of hope and forgiveness.
We're all sinners, so everyone is welcome to come and hear more about why Christ died for our sins and how God wants you to live a happy life, free the penalty of those sins. Come join our Christian family at Central as we worship God together, uplifting and encouraging each other.
WHY THE CHURCH OF CHRIST?
The Christians meeting at Central Avenue are a dynamic and diverse group, each offering their unique talent to make the whole church better.
There are many ways to serve the community and Church. Explore opportunities to share your abilities with others and grow the Church and Church family.

Our Congregation and Location
For over a century, Central has been the “church home” for individuals and families seeking to worship God and fostering a commitment to discover God’s plan of salvation and how to better spread His message of hope and forgiveness. We are an established congregation in Valdosta, Georgia, located near the Georgia/Florida border in Lowndes County, which has a population of approximately 120,000. Our temperate weather allows you to enjoy fishing, hunting, boating, golf, nature trails, and many other outdoor activities throughout the year. The city is home to a state university and multiple technical and specialty schools, and boasts many sports facilities, art venues, and opportunities to join community programs. Valdosta is a great place to live!
