"Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.' ”  -Matthew 19:14

We understand the foundation for tomorrow's Christian leaders is found in today's youth. Central Avenue offers a wide range of youth programs and Bible study.  Specifically, three of these are directed to important stages of a young Christian's development: Youth, Teen, and Young Adult.

Faith Avenue

Faith Avenue is for kindergarten through fifth grade children on Sunday mornings and Wednesday night

Faith Avenue is a Bible-based streetscape that is lined with five different shops and areas designed to lead your child on a journey of learning God's word.

Children that are kindergarten through the 5th grade are invited to meet in Central Park every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. A tour guide will lead the children to a different shop each Sunday, rotating on a five-week schedule. Each week the children experience a new format that reinforces the lessons learned the previous week. After five weeks, the class will begin a new rotation and subject.

As children travel along Faith Avenue, they grow closer in their walk with God and his son, Jesus.  Serving along the way, they practice implementing the fruits of the Spirit into their lives.

We have two clubs that meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. to help further reinforce these goals. Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders are invited to join the Faith Builders Club, while 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are encouraged to participate in the official Faith Avenue Club.  Both clubs are designed to encourage fellowship among the children, as well as focus on the importance of prayer and service projects. We will also have a review of the topics we are currently studying. Your kids will love Faith Avenue!

Central Youth Group

Mission: To Develop a Deep, Intimate Relationship with God

At Central Avenue Church of Christ, we desire our youth to develop a deep, intimate relationship with God. While we are journeying through life together, we make it a priority to serve each other, spread the love of Christ everywhere we go, share in fellowship with one another, seek to grow closer to Him. We want to do all of this while worshipping our Lord and enjoying Christian fellowship.

The CYG (Central Youth Group) participate in a variety of events including devotionals, service projects, area-wide events, youth rallies, lock-ins, weekly Bible study, and a number of other things that keep our hearts centered on our Creator. The CYG invites all middle school and high school teens to join us on our quest to live a life worthy of God’s calling.
